Summertime Oaks, Saturday June 21st

This segment of the Pick 6 Challenge begins Saturday May 3rd with the Kentucky Derby. It will span 9 weekends of racing through Saturday, June 28th. The racing will cover the 3 Triple Crown races (Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, and Belmont Stakes). It starts Saturday May 3rd, and will conclude Saturday June 28th with the Gold Cup at Santa Anita. Be sure to log in each weekend to make your picks for the races on Saturday. Races and past performances usually go up on Wednesday night. Entries are added by Thursday.

It’s a bit of an “off” week, but we have 6 races for you spanning Belmont to Santa Anita. Entries will be added Thursday night, until then, study up on your past performances. Next week is the last week of racing in this segment, so make your best picks and move up the board.

Race 1: The Wild Applause Stakes.
In the first race, Sweet Acclaim is looking good, the rail is winning, so keep an eye on Nisharora and My Jolie, plus you can’t count out John Velzquez at any NY race track.

Race 2: The Black Tie Affair Handicap.
To Arlington for our second race, the Black Tie Affair.  How can yoyu not bet on The Pizza Man, he’s like the Lumber Guy, am I right?  Hasn’t raced yet this year, will he fire?  Better back him up with a few other contenders, Tazz, Dad We Are Here, maybe Big Looie?

Race 3: The Bed o’ Roses.
Back to Belmont for the Bed o’ Roses, Five Star Momma is running bullets like no tomorrow, Merry Meadow was awesome last trip, then there are a ew others to pick from, Street Girl, Ode to Samie, Flattering Bea should lead them into turn 1.

Race 4: The Eatontown Stakes.
Monmouth is the location of the fourth race.  Nashly’s Vow is winner of her last two, Rusty Slipper won at Monmouth last time out, but moves up in class, Orion Moon can contend.

Race 5: The Lincoln Heritage Stakes.
Arlington Park’s Lincoln Heritage is the fifth race, this could be a good one.  I love me a kitten horse, but I am not sure Bold Kitten has what it takes today.  La Tia looks great, and should battle hard with Kepi and katie the Lady.  What day would be complete without a trip out West?

Race 6: The Summertime Oaks.
To Santa Anita for the Summertime Oaks.  Picking a Baffert entry is always a good idea, and Jojo Warrior definitely has a shot, Front Range’s last race worries me, and Arethusa doesn’t seem to show up, perhaps Mike Smith can get the job done? Hollendorfer has 3 in the race today, do you think he wants to win? Delta Flower may be his best bet, having won her last 3, the last of which at Santa Anita.

Good luck everyone, race for the win, good luck at the betting window.
