It is the last week of the 2021 Triple Crown Challenge segment. I’ve found 6 races from a variety of tracks for this week. Next segment will probably start up in July when the Saratoga racing season opens. Let’s get to it!
Race 1: New York Stallion Stakes
- Ava’s Grace – Graded stakes experience, dropping in class and distance, working out bullets, has hit the board in all 4 starts, high speed fig last race.
- Shaker Shack – Climbing speed figs, 2 wins 2 seconds in 2021, winner last race, high percentage jockey, hasn’t raced on turf, coming off layoff.
- Show Me the Honey – Rail spot shows increased win percentage, speed looks to be there, bests Proper Grammar in splits and workouts, yet is longer odds.
Race 2: Get Serious Stakes
- The Critical Way – Hit the board in last 7 starts, highest speed ratings, experienced winner on turf and at distance, high percentage jockey/trainer, working bullets.

Race 3: New York Stallion Stakes
- Dancing Buck – Showing good speed, comes off a win, turf experience.
- Step Dancer – Good speed, turf experience, dropping in distance, return to winning form?
- Dreamer’s Disease – Dropping in class, dropping in distance, good speed, good recent workouts, 6th in BC Juvenile and Pat Day Mile – yet 6-1 M/L odds?
Race 4: Roxelana Overnight Stakes
- Sconsin – High speed figs, winner last race, winner 3/5 at Churchill, high percentage jockey, dropping in class.
- Bell’s the One – High speed figs, winner at Belmont, working bullets, dropping in class.

- Found My Ball – High speed figs, couple seconds at Santa Anita, 20% first time blinkers.
- Big Talker – Hit the board in 4/6 starts, high percentage jockey, decent track record at Santa Anita, 20% first time blinkers.
- Just Missed – Ferrariano – Beat Found My Ball and Big Talker last race at 12-1, coming off win, was it a fluke?
Race 6: Melair Stakes
- Fi Fi Pharoah – Has the pedigree, has beaten many of these horses before, good speed figs, good workouts, high percentage jockey.
- Eddie’s New Dream – Good speed figs, Hit the board in all 4 starts, working bullets, concerned by stretching distance.
