Another week and another week of racing with a lot of different tracks. We go North of the border to Woodbine for the Royal North Stakes, and also hit Churchill Downs, Belmont, and Monmouth for the Mr. Prospector. Lots of different tracks and races to tempt our competitors this week. Good luck everyone.
Race 1: Regret Stakes (G3)
- McKulick – Fastest speed in the race, coming off second place finish, high percentage trainer, closer, should handle the distance.
- Beside Herself – Second in speed, dropping in distance, winner last race, high percentage jockey, moves up in class.
- Kneesnhips – Higher speed figs than Walkathon, working bullets, improving speed in last 2 Graded stakes races, good speed, like a horse dropping in class.
Race 2: Arlington Stakes (G3)
- Field Pass – High speed figs, high percentage jockey / trainer, concern about losses last 2 races, experience at the track, on paper this is the fastest horse.
- Gray’s Fable – Good speed, winner last race, high percentage jockey / trainer, working bullets, hasn’t raced distance much, I might just bet Leparoux on Turf all day at Churchill.
- Admission Office – Hasn;t raced in a year, lots of Graded Stakes experience, dropping in distance – for what its worth, high percentage trainer, working out well, experience at track and distance.
Race 3: Mr. Prospector Stakes
- Greeley and Ben – Distance specialist, winner of 14/20 at distance, high speed figs, winner last race and winner of 4 of last 5, high percentage trainer.
- Drafted – Winner last race at distance, dropping in class, races well at distance.
- Doc Amster – Experience at distance, finished on the board in last 3 starts, working out well, Chantal has been on a roll, so can’t leave her out.
Race 4: Aristides Stakes
- Bob’s Edge – Winner 2 of last 3, winner of 4/9 at distance, winner of 2/4 at Churchill Downs, good speed, dropping in class, not working out well though.
- Necker Island – Dropping in distance, winner of 5/10 at Churchill Downs, good consistent speed, keeps known jockey.
- Top Gunner – Winner of last 2 at distance, good speed, less stakes experience.
Race 5: Royal North Stakes (G2)
- Boardroom – Winner of 2 of last 3, high percentage trainer, switching to turf, good speed, graded stakes experience.
- Amalfi Coast – Winner of last years Royal North, high percentage jockey / trainer, seems to do better on turf, hits the board a lot lifetime.
- Souper Sensational – Graded stakes experience, high percentage jockey / trainer, good speed, dropping in class and distance, working out well, never raced turf though, odd choice?
Race 6: Pennine Ridge Stakes (G2)
- Unanimous Consent – Giving the edge because all wins have been on turf, high percentage jockey / trainer, undefeated in 3 starts, moving up in class but working well.
- Emmanuel – Graded stakes experience, represented well on Derby trail, high speed figs, high percentage jockey, switching to first race on turf.
- Napoleonic War – Winner at Belmont, winner 2/3 lifetime, high percentage jockey / trainer, rising speed, moving up in class. Lots to like.
There you have it, an exciting day of racing, and hopefully lots of money to be won. Do you think you have what it takes to make better picks than me? Then try and beat me.
